Thank you to Lisa Kopochinski for her thoughtful article about our foundational gas-to-liquids (GTL) project in the spring edition of the Bakkan Energy Report.   “This multi-billion project will deliver environmentally responsible energy products, while contributing to the economy, creating employment opportunities and reducing dependency on imports.   Cerilon GTL North Dakota will turn natural gas that may have otherwise been flared or wasted into useful, high-value liquids, including ultra-low sulfur diesel, Naphtha and Group III+ base oils. These products will help to satisfy demand in the state, reducing reliance on imports. Do you believe the divider block systems are delivering proper lubrication to cylinders & rod packing? I cordially invite contract compression companies & divider block manufacturers, along with their engineering teams, to visit Patton’s training center to witness the testing firsthand. We can also demonstrate this on any compressor of your choice, operating under full load conditions. We accidentally discovered this phenomenon & how to fix the problem. I can prove, due to the design of divider block hydraulic circuits, it is impossible for these systems to deliver the calculated amount of oil when operating under differential pressures. The result is premature wear & failure of compressor rings, rods, packing & cylinders. Specializing in this field for over 40 years & authoring over 70 U.S. patents, I take this matter VERY SERIOUSLY. Divider block manufacturers nor compressor OEMs have thoroughly tested how hydraulic physics impacts these systems or the accuracy of oil injection claims made over decades. Want to discuss this? With OXY World PSA Nitrogen Production Systems, you can produce your own nitrogen gas instead of procuring it from external sources. In the context of ASTM A743/A743M-21, which specifies corrosion-resistant iron-chromium and iron-chromium-nickel castings, NACE standards like NACE MR0175/ISO 15156 may provide insights into using these materials in sour environments, such as those containing hydrogen sulfide (H₂S). NACE standards also stress the need for real-world simulation and accelerated corrosion testing, akin to ASTM's role in standardizing corrosion evaluations. #LNG News: DOE pressed to advance major LNG project after pause reversal Developers of the Lake Charles LNG project — one of the largest proposals for the Gulf Coast — said a court ordered DOE “to act without delay.” The developer of a major liquefied natural gas terminal in Louisiana is pushing the Department of Energy to act speedily on its export application following a federal judge’s reversal of the Biden administration’s pause on pending and new LNG export licenses. In a letter last week to DOE, a lawyer for the Lake Charles LNG project said the department’s Office of Fossil Energy and Carbon Management should “expeditiously act on its pending application in this docket and issue an order without delay.” The company’s dispatch is one of the first examples of pressure on the department to act on an export application since the end of the pause, which froze consideration of permits to countries that don’t have a free trade agreement with the United States.
